Coaching on Volata: what you agree to
Effective date: October 2, 2026
Runners choose to share their training with you. In return, you agree to the following.
1. Use it only for coaching.
What a runner shares with you, including anything they write to you, is for coaching that runner and nothing else. You will not sell it, publish it, use it for advertising, or pass it to anyone else without that runner's clear agreement.
2. Keep it private.
You will keep each runner's information to yourself and protect any copy you keep, on paper or on a device, the way you would want your own health information protected.
3. What they can take back.
A runner can end coaching at any time. When they do, you lose access in Volata, and you will delete any copies of their information you kept outside Volata, unless the runner asks you to keep them. Plans you wrote stay yours.
4. You are the coach.
Volata is a tool for building and following training plans. Any advice you give a runner is yours, based on your own judgement. Volata does not review your plans or messages and is not responsible for them. Volata's assistant coach can point out what a plan's own structure says — the days, the distances, the durations and the dates — and can offer a different shape. It does not check your coaching, and what you keep is your decision.
5. Be honest with runners.
You will not misrepresent who you are or your qualifications to runners you coach through Volata.
6. Laws that apply to you.
If you coach as a business, you are responsible for meeting any privacy or consumer laws that apply to you where you and your runners live.
Breaking these terms can end your access to coaching on Volata. These terms sit alongside the Volata Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which also apply to you.
